Who builds these calculators, how they work, and what happens to the numbers you type into them.
CalciHub is a free collection of 119 online calculators across 6 categories — loans, mortgages, EMI and tax on the money side; BMI, calorie and macro tools on the health side; plus unit conversion, statistics, and the ordinary arithmetic and geometry people need for schoolwork.
The idea behind it is narrow on purpose. Most calculation questions have a precise answer, and most of the pages that answer them make you scroll past an essay to reach the box you actually wanted. Here the tool comes first, and the explanation sits underneath for when you want to understand the result rather than just read it.
Every calculator states the formula it applies, defines each variable, and works through at least one example with real numbers. If a result looks wrong to you, the page gives you enough to check it by hand — which is the point. A calculator you cannot verify is just a number on a screen.

How Each Calculator Is Built
Every calculator on this site starts from a published, standard formula rather than an approximation. Compound interest, EMI and SIP use the standard time-value-of-money equations. BMI uses the WHO definition of weight divided by height squared. Unit conversions use exact defined factors, not rounded ones — an inch is 2.54 cm because that is the definition, not an estimate.
The formula is then written directly into the page as code and displayed to you in the About section, so what runs and what you read are the same thing. Results are calculated live in your browser as you type; nothing is fetched from a server mid-calculation, which is why the tools work at the speed they do.
Before a calculator goes live it is tested with inputs whose answer can be worked out by hand, so the output is checked rather than assumed. The worked example in each About section is one of those checks: the numbers are real and every step is shown, so you can redo the arithmetic yourself and confirm the tool agrees with it. That is deliberate — an example you cannot reproduce proves nothing.
Where a result can be measured against a published standard rather than another website, that standard is the reference. BMI categories come from the WHO thresholds. Conversion factors come from their formal definitions. Tax and GST figures come from the statutory slabs for the year the page names. Comparing one calculator against another only tells you they made the same assumptions.
Where a calculator depends on figures that change — tax slabs, GST rates, contribution limits — the page states which year or ruleset it reflects. Those are reviewed when the underlying rules change rather than on a fixed schedule.
What These Calculators Are Not
A calculator applies a formula to the numbers you give it. It does not know your circumstances, and it cannot account for what you did not enter. A mortgage result excludes the fees your specific lender charges. A calorie figure is an estimate from population averages, not a measurement of your metabolism. A tax estimate ignores the deductions and exemptions that apply to you personally.
So treat every result here as a starting point for a decision, not the decision itself. For anything financial, medical or legal, confirm the number with a professional who knows your situation. The disclaimer sets this out in full.
What Happens To What You Type
Nothing. Every calculation on CalciHub runs inside your own browser. Your salary, your weight, your loan balance and your due date are never transmitted to us, never written to a database, and never attached to an identity — because there are no accounts here to attach them to.
The site does use analytics to count page views and advertising to cover hosting, and both of those involve third-party cookies. What they collect, and how to opt out, is described in the privacy policy. Neither one receives the values you enter into a calculator.

Every calculator, explanation and FAQ on this site is written and maintained in-house. Nothing here is syndicated, outsourced or reposted from elsewhere, which means a mistake goes straight to the people who can correct it rather than through anyone else first.
Found a wrong result, a broken tool, or a formula you think is misapplied? Tell us and it gets corrected, genuine calculation errors are treated as urgent. Suggestions for calculators that do not exist yet are welcome too; a good part of this library exists because someone asked. Either way, the contact page is the fastest route.
