How Does It Work?
Unlike most conversions, temperature doesn't use a simple multiplication, each scale has a different zero point, so there's an offset in the formula.
Celsius to Fahrenheit: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
Celsius to Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15
Kelvin to Celsius: °C = K − 273.15
°C = degrees Celsius
°F = degrees Fahrenheit
K = Kelvin (no degree symbol, it's just "Kelvin")

Absolute zero is 0 K, which equals −273.15°C and −459.67°F. It's the theoretical lowest possible temperature – the point at which particles have minimal thermal motion.
By convention, Kelvin is an absolute thermodynamic scale and is written without "degrees" — you say "300 Kelvin", not "300 degrees Kelvin". Celsius and Fahrenheit both use "degrees" because they're relative scales.
