How Does It Work?
Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before the start of your next period. Since cycle lengths vary, the calculator adjusts based on your personal cycle length rather than assuming a standard 28-day cycle.
Ovulation Day = First Day of Last Period + (Cycle Length - 14)
Fertile Window = Ovulation Day minus 5 days to Ovulation Day plus 1 day
First Day of Last Period = the date your most recent period began
Cycle Length = average number of days from the start of one period to the start of the next
14 = the typical luteal phase length (days from ovulation to next period)
